Disclaimer

FaxThat transmits documents via the public switched telephone network (PSTN) through InterFax. While we take reasonable steps to ensure reliable delivery, fax transmission is subject to factors outside our control including recipient line availability, network conditions, and third-party service availability.

FaxThat is not responsible for failed deliveries due to incorrect fax numbers, unavailable recipient lines, or factors attributable to third-party providers.

You will only be charged for successfully delivered faxes. Failed transmissions will not be billed.

Data We Collect

FaxThat collects only the minimum data necessary to provide the fax transmission service:

  • Email address — used solely to send you delivery confirmation and status notifications
  • Destination fax number — used solely to transmit your document
  • Uploaded document — transmitted to InterFax for fax delivery and deleted immediately after transmission
  • Page count and transaction amount — used for billing purposes via Paddle

We do not collect names, physical addresses, phone numbers, or any other personal information beyond what is listed above. We do not create user accounts or maintain user profiles.

Data Retention

FaxThat is designed with minimal data retention:

  • Your uploaded document is deleted from our servers immediately after it is transmitted to InterFax
  • Your email address and fax number are stored temporarily (up to 24 hours) in Cloudflare KV solely to process delivery notifications, and are deleted once a final delivery status is received
  • Payment data is handled exclusively by Paddle and is not stored on FaxThat servers

Refund Policy
Last updated: May 2026
Charge on Delivery

FaxThat operates on a charge-on-delivery model. Your payment is processed at the time of submission, and you will only be charged for faxes that are successfully delivered to the destination fax number.

If your fax fails to deliver after all retry attempts, an automatic refund will be issued to your original payment method.

Automatic Refunds

Refunds are issued automatically when a fax fails to deliver. You do not need to contact us to request a refund for a failed fax.

You will receive an email notification confirming the refund has been processed. Please allow 3–5 business days for the refund to appear on your statement, depending on your bank or card issuer.

Administrative Fee

A $0.50 administrative fee is deducted from all refunds to cover processing and transmission costs incurred during delivery attempts. This fee applies regardless of the reason for delivery failure, including incorrect fax numbers.

For example, if you paid $1.00 for a single-page fax and delivery failed, you would receive a refund of $0.50.

Non-Refundable Situations

The following are not eligible for refunds:

  • Successfully delivered faxes — once a fax has been delivered, no refund will be issued
  • The $0.50 administrative fee — this is non-refundable in all circumstances
  • Faxes rejected due to prohibited content or terms of use violations
Delivery Timeline

Fax delivery typically occurs within 5–15 minutes of submission, depending on destination line availability. InterFax will attempt delivery up to 4 times before marking a fax as failed.

You will receive an email notification when your fax is delivered, or if all delivery attempts have been exhausted.
